Correspondence

Several individuals posted comments on the previous site about the Rust brothers:

Mickey Funk (Aug. 18, 2014): I’m Mickey (mouseinhouse1@aol.com) the one who sent you email about my grandpa, breaking the world record. My dad (James Simpson), Sidney Simpson’s son, just turned 90 and he just asked me if you could find out if any of John and Mack Rust’s family is still alive? I told him I’m sure with your research you might know. If so, would you let us know, please. He interested in knowing, as am I.

Joe Green (Feb. 5, 2017):  Thank You for assembling this extensive contribution to the story of my great uncles, John and Mack Rust. My mother’s mother was John and Mack’s sister, Bennie (or Benny) Rust. Bennie died in about 1920 when my mother, Ella Virginia Trout, was two years old. Bennie’s husband, my grandfather, was Horace Ivan Trout, newspaperman, nurseryman and inventor of the Trout Turtle, Roller Relaxer and other useful machines.

Lou Thomann (April 1, 2018): I’m looking for some old Rust Cotton pickers to see if I can use them for a project I am working on.
